The story of Samson begins at Judges 13:1 but this is when Delilah enters his story. If you read all of Judges 16 you will see she does succeed in figuring Samson's strength and turns him over to the Philistines even after Samson tells her several different lies about his strength and each time the Philistines try to take him.
